Besides being a beautiful city, Vienna also offers a wide variety of restaurants and cafés of all kinds. Here,
I have listed some of the venues that I think you really must see during your stay in Vienna.
Zum Schwarzen Kameel: One of the oldest restaurants in the city today, a meeting place with no generational
limits, for aperitifs or a snack, which usually consists in a glass of Grüner Veltiner and some of the restaurants famous tartlets.
Bognergasse 5, 1010 Wien

Demel: the debate over who makes the best Sacher Torte has been going on for years. I find Demel’s icing to be far and
away the best. You often have to queue for a short while for a table, but it’s worth it, one of the reasons being that, on the
ground floor, you can watch the patisserie chefs at work.
Kohlmarkt 14, 1010 Wien

Lingenhel: Currently the city’s most beautiful restaurant. A team of young Austrian chefs interprets traditional dishes
in a brand new way. Besides eating at the restaurant, you can also buy cured meats and cheeses, drink the best espresso in town
and have breakfast too.
Landstraßer Hauptstraße 74, 1030 Wien

Plachutta: An address for lovers of classic Viennese cuisine. Excellent boiled meats with consommé, Wiener
Schnitzel and fried chicken.
Wollzeile 38, 1010 Wien

Die Meierei: A perfect location for brunch or lunch. Die Maierei is a beautiful, bright venue close to the Stadpark.
It is split into two separate areas and categories, one more simple and the other starred. Reservations are essential.
Am Heumarkt 2A, 1030 Wien

Mochi: The name comes from a Japanese dessert and the inspiration for Mochi, one of the hippest restaurants in town,
is the contemporary interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Reservations are essential.
Praterstraße 15, 1020 Wien

Loos Bar: Loos Bar is definitely one of the city’s best nightspots. The venue is small and you automatically come into
contact with other interesting guests.
Kärntner Str. 10, 1010 Vienna

Robertos: An alternative to Loos Bar, Robertos is a very fashionable venue where the whole city congregates.
Bauernmarkt 11-13, 1010 Vienna

Meinl: For those who want to buy gastronomic specialities to take home, for gourmets and all those who love
delicious food, Meindl is not to be missed.
